Juniour Achievement

During my last year in John Fraser Secondary School I joined the RBC program: Junior Achievement. Junior Achievement is an international organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people about business and economics.  I was offered to attend a dinner with other CEO’s and representatives from other businesses at the Exhibition Place, Governors Room. It was an amazing experience to interact and to get to know what they (the CEO’s and representatives) did to get to the position they are in now. From the dinner I learnt many things about the business world; the type of people who are involved with business, the enormous amount of respect and politeness from the represents, and most importantly how to network. Next time when a successful organization comes to your high school, college, institution, and/or workplace make sure you take full advantage of that opportunity. http://www.rbc.com/country-select.html

Dreams

Every girl has a dream; to fly up in the sky, dance with the fireflies, and get the perfect job. As growing up I’ve changed my career path numerous times, at first I wanted to be a cook, then a pilot, and now I’ve finally made up my mind, I want to become an international marketer. I want to be able to help organization achieve their company’s goals and expectations.

The first step I took to achieve my dream is getting enrolled into Sheridan College Institute for Business Administration Marketing. My short term goal is to get into a co-op program that offers me good experience and reference. In my opinion, gaining some hands on experience through co-op would help me (or anyone else) get a better understanding of marketing and other business related subjects. By taking advantages of the co-op program I would be able to improve my network, communications skills, and get a new improved perspective of business. Also the fruitful experience would help me prepare myself for the near future.
The second step is to receive a secure job at a successful organization. One specific corporation I would love to work for is Air Canada. I have traveled with Air Canada every year, and at least twice a year, so I’m familiarly with the type of services they have to offer and the overall company’s brand. It’s exciting to see how everything will turn out in the next 10 years. Almost like a mystery.

Aisha Junaid

Hi! My name is Aisha Junaid and I’m 18 years old. I’m currently enrolled in a marketing program at Sheridan College Institute. Personally I find marketing extremely clever and creative; there are so many different ways to reach to consumers and determine their needs & wants. In high school I took a couple of business courses (business communication, international business, marketing, accounting, economics, etc) and a handful of art courses (such as visual arts, traditional arts, and media arts). I love to watch cartoon/animated movies and comedy movies. I like to explore and travel to new places and make exciting discoveries.
